“Design has the power to truly shift how people feel. We can improve someone’s moment, morning, or daily life. The energy of colors, lighting, textures, and dimension affects us, whether we’re consciously aware of it or not — it all impacts our experience, which influences our potential actions. We can improve focus, enhance relaxation, spark inspiration, heighten energy, and amplify joy. Interiors matter. ” Kelly Livingston
Kelly Livingston
Principal Designer of Eleven Eleven Design Studio
Kelly Livingston creates interiors that artfully engage the senses to ground us in the present moment. She holds a degree in Art and Interior Design from Montana State University and draws from nearly three decades of experience in commercial and residential design. Original, creative, and highly capable in her technique, she knows interior design in all aspects and applications. A careful listener and intuitive consultant, clients love her thoughtful nature and working style. Her work demonstrates refined artistry and a keen color sense, accounting for the needs and desires of her clients as well as those who will ultimately use each space.
Kelly has always been drawn to the art of interior design. The daughter of an architectural engineer, she learned about the importance of detail and the art of drawing from a young age before pursuing professional education in design. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in Interior Design from Montana State University in 1983 and worked as a consultant for design studios across the country from 1983 to 2005 before cofounding Eleven Eleven.
While her career took her across the country — to Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas — Montana has always been Kelly Livingston’s true home. Since her childhood spent skiing, camping, and riding horses, she has felt gratitude for the beauty of the outdoors and been inspired by the organic textures and vitality of nature. The mother of two grown daughters, Kelly lives in Bozeman, Montana with her husband and business partner, Christopher, and their funny terrier Oliver. She loves to paint and to spend time at the barn with their two horses.
